Set in a blue forest that is eternally locked in winter, this is an opera by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov. I was inspired by the music and subsequently developed a series of costume and set designs, that tell the story of the Snow Maiden's quest for love and the tragedy that awaits her. My aim is to merge my training as a costume designer with my passion for illustration to create images that function within both disciplines.
